I realized I have several old watches sitting around in different dresser drawers and I wanted to create a display stand for them. Space is limited so I designed this wall mounted stand that holds eight watches.
It is made out of 5/8″ clear acrylic although the design would work with hardwoods too. The edges are rounded so the watch bands have a smooth curve to pass over. Finally I created a large graphic out of individual covers from Science fiction and detective pulp novels. I had the graphic printed on a large format printer and then cut it out by hand. After I used spray glue to stick it to the back of the acrylic. The unit is mounted with a French cleat made out of the same 5/8″ acrylic.
